I have been active in the defense of Central Americans to chose their own governments. As part of a group, Artists Call Against U. S. Intervention in Central America, started by art critic Lucy Lippard and others, I traveled to Nicaragua in partnership with the Sandinista Artists Organization.
Through a technical error due to the extreme heat there, my film peeled, but I thought that the attack on the emulsion acted as a metaphor for the political situation.
